Our family is growing, not only with our two delightful children, ages 2 and 4, but also as we eagerly anticipate the arrival of a new baby in September. Our daughters are in daycare and school Monday through Friday and arrive between 4pm and 5 pm. We are seeking support to help with prep activities and cleanup while the kids are out of the house. Mom and dad work from home. The father in our family is an entrepreneur who is passionately dedicated to nurturing a small startup. This dedication means he often works long hours, pouring his energy and creativity into the business. His role requires flexibility and a significant investment of time, but it is undertaken with the future of our family firmly in mind. Mom is the backbone of our household, working full time while also navigating the challenges of pregnancy. She has been the primary force in managing the household and caring for our young children, a role she has embraced with love and dedication. However, as our family expands and her pregnancy progresses, the balance of work, household duties, and childcare has become increasingly demanding. Position Overview: As our family housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily routines, particularly focusing on our children's needs. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks to ensure our home runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing us to spend quality time together as a family. We're flexible with the dates and times. We've indicated a wider range of availability for the position specifically to allow for more candidates flexibility. This position could be up to 25 hours a week or as little as 15 to 20 hours, we're open to discuss. We're looking for someone for at least several months but this could turn into a year+ opportunity. NOTE: This position will not require child care. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and pack lunches for daycare and school for the next day (typically cut deli-meat, cut fruit, cut cheese and yogurt and ground beef and noodles). - Meal preparation prior to dinner - (such as homemade French fries, beef burgers cooked on stove, rice and egg, gluten free noodles with butter). - Unpacking school/daycare lunches, including washing and preparing contains for the next day. - Tidy up the children’s play space, making it a safe and inviting area for them to enjoy and explore. - Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and tidying up after meals. - Conduct laundry tasks, specifically focusing on the children's clothing, ensuring they always have clean and ready-to-wear options including bed linen. - Potentially assist with grocery shopping, a negotiable task that could enhance our family's day-to-day life (not required). - Tidying floors in common areas (sweeping/vacuuming) Optional Responsibilities (Negotiable): Take on additional cleaning responsibilities, such as maintaining bathrooms and showers, to further support our household's cleanliness and organization.
