I am currently enrolled as a student in the Education Assistant Diploma Program. I will graduate in June 2023 and will be looking for summer work. I am offering full time or part time care Monday to Friday during the months of July and August. I am an experienced, qualified childcare professional. I am certified in Standard First Aid and CPR level C, I have a current Criminal Record check, outstanding references, and a valid BC driver’s license (with my own safe, reliable vehicle). I am certified in BC as an Early Childhood Education Assistant and I also have my Early Years Montessori Diploma. I am offering care for up to 3 children Monday to Friday for up to 8 hours a day for July and August. Start and end times flexible. Some flexibility with days/hours. I believe in keeping active, so we will spend most of our time outside and go on plenty of adventures (beaches, parks, water parks, etc. ) I am hoping to find a family who's home is available to use as our home base when we are not out adventuring. I am a very outgoing individual who remains calm and positive even in stressful situations. I am very creative (love arts and crafts, cooking and baking) and I am enthusiastic about anything I take on. I am a reliable, trustworthy, and flexible employee who is passionate about working with children. I also enjoy singing, dancing, hide and go seek, make believe, and story time. I have done this kind of work for many summers and all the families I have worked for have been extremely satisfied with the care provided. The kids have the greatest time and are absolutely tuckered out by the end of the day with me!

I have extensive background working with children. Prior to enrolling in the Education Assistant Program, I worked as a Montessori Preschool Teacher during the school year (September to June). I have also owned and operated my own daycare in Alberta, and I have worked as a summer camp leader for children ages 4-12. I have facilitated children's birthday parties (playing games, singing sons, arts and crafts, face painting, etc). I also have experience as a child care provider at Miles of Smiles Licensed Day Care. In addition to this I have also run my own preschool programs through a local rec center (ages 2-5). I have lots of experience caring for children ages 6 months to 12 years of age. I have TONS of nannying experience, both live in and live out, as well as babysitting and after school care over the years for many different families and have excellent references! I am certified in B. C. as and ECEA (Early Childcare Educator Assistant). I have my Early Years Montessori Diploma and am currently completing my Education Assistant Diploma. I have also completed 2 years of my bachelor's degree in Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria.
