I am a university graduate from Guelph University with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. I am currently in teacher's college at Western University and only have one year left! I have teaching experience in grade 3 and Kindergarten as I have had my practicum in these years. I am also on the supply list an plan to teach a variety of grades. I have been working with children for many years now as I started babysitting at 13 years old. I have been a nanny for babies, toddles and school aged children. The youngest child I have cared for has been 5.5 months and the oldest was 9 years old. I enjoy taking the children out side and providing age appropriate activities for them. I try to avoid screen time when I can! I have worked at many different camps and have been a lifeguard for 6 years. I have taught swimming lessons for the majority of those six years (preschool - bronze medalion) and if you have a pool I will be more than happy to also teach swimming lessons! I have experience working with children at a variety of organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Association Guelph, City of London, Reading Rocks Guelph and the Down Syndrome Association London. Through these experiences, I have learned how to support children in a number of ways and have developed a passion for helping children grow into their best selves! A little bit about me, I love being outdoors, and am very flexible (As I understand that life can get hectic sometimes). I try to live a healthy/ holistic lifestyle as I eat healthily, go for runs, do yoga, and enjoy spending time with good company which includes my friends and family.
