Hello, I am Mina and I am 22 years old. I am currently a student at the University of British Columbia where I am majoring in psychology. I am in my fifth year of study and am just working on completing final coursework before graduating. This year I am taking courses online, which frees up my schedule considerably. I have been working with children for the past four years. I am about to start my fifth year of coaching synchronized swimming. For the past three years, I have been the head coach of the Kelowna Dolphins Synchronized Swimming Club. In that position, I organized and ran programs for children between the ages of 5 and 16 as well as coaching my own group of athletes. This October, I will be starting a coaching position in Surrey/Coquitlam with the BC Aquasonics. This past summer, I worked as a junior counsellor at an overnight camp for boys and girls aged 7 through 16. My responsibilities included waking campers up in the morning, helping take them through meals and various activities, and keeping them occupied during down time. My main job was "camper care" - making sure that campers were happy and healthy (sunscreen, hats, water bottles, appropriate clothing, talking to kids if they felt homesick or bullied). My hobbies include swimming, yoga, and watching way too many episodes of Top Chef. To reduce stress, I am a fan of blasting Taylor Swift at home and dancing it out.

I have coached swimmers (girls between the ages of five and sixteen) for the past four years - both competitive athletes and recreational swimmers. I have also worked as a camp counsellor, providing round-the-clock, 24/7 care to up to 9 campers at a time (with another counsellor) focusing on health, safety, and emotional well-being of campers. I don't yet have any experience as a nanny, although I have a passion for working with children and have worked with many different campers at camp.

I am a psychology student pursuing my Bachelor's degree.
