Hi, my name is Melissa and I am in my last year of becoming an Elementary School Teacher. I love working with children, and I have experience working with those aged 6 months to 16 years in both a camp setting and through private childcare. I am known for being a very organized and efficient individual. I am also patient, understanding and sensitive to others’ needs and emotions.

For three summers, I worked at an English Immersion day camp for 3 to 12 year olds. It was my duty to plan, prepare and perform themed activities for a group of up to 12 children. I also supervised snack time, lunch, and swim-hours. I have been a full-time live-in nanny during the summer for three years and I have worked as a part-time nanny for several families over the past 7 years. I currently work at an overnight summer camp for children aged 6 to 16 years old as a Unit Head, meaning I am in charge of all of the campers (aged 6-11), as well as the staff that are assigned to my unit.
