I live in Coquitlam and have 15 years of vibrant experience as a child caretaker, out of which I spent four enriching years in Australia. I began my childcare career as a nanny 15 years ago! My responsibilities included feeding and bathing the children, organizing and keeping the house tidy, preparing snacks and meals, following a daily schedule of nap times + meal times + play times, and transporting the children to and from various activities. I moved to Australia for college and worked at a before and after school care facility as an educator and supervisor. My responsibilities included dropping off + picking up children from school, prepping food and feeding children morning and afternoon meals, planning educational programs, teaching sports classes, preparing and organizing exercise and games, supervising other staff members, cleaning and maintaining the childcare facility, and helping with various administrative tasks such as reception, payroll, and organizing for school pick ups/drop offs. Since moving back to Canada, I have worked with a family of 5 in Calgary (2019-2020) a family of 4 in Vancouver (2020-2021), and a family of 5 in Maple Ridge (2021-2023). I am currently working at a childcare centre in Port Moody full time, but am looking to transition back to a nanny role! I have loved working with children of all ages over the years, and would love to continue working as a nanny with the right family. I have worked in child care for over 10 years, but did not receive higher education for child care. I went to bible college and received my associates degree in ministry. While working as a childcare provider in Australia, I was trained in CPR, child safety, and a plethora of other childcare courses paid by my employers. I have continued working full time in childcare before, during, and after my college education and would love to continue in this field. I am currently putting myself through school for my Professional Counselling Diploma.
