My name is Katie. I am a fun, mature and creative nanny. I have a passion for working with children that has developed through diverse experiences over the years. I have worked as a childcare provider in over 20 homes with newborns up to 12 year olds. I have lived with my niece from her birth and into her second year of life, and had active involvement in her care for that time period. I have been a long term nanny, a temp nanny, and a regular babysitter. I have worked for children's summer camps, and have also worked as a program coordinator for youth mentorship programs. Nearly every job I have had in my life has in some way been related to working with children; helping children to thrive and grow is my life's passion! My diverse experiences have given me the opportunity to work with children with a range of personalities, which has enabled me to practice adapting my style of care depending on each child's specific needs and interests. Apart from regular care activities such as preparing meals, first aid, and facilitating play, I enjoy planning fun and unique crafts, educational games and outdoor activities. I love that children have an amazing capacity for creativity and learning; I do everything I can to foster an imaginative and engaging environment that encourages children to develop their own ideas and partake in new experiences. I am married, and as a couple we are very community minded; we spend a lot of time with our families and close friends.
