I am a mature, experienced, qualified, government certified Social Services Worker. I have an economical reliable vehicle with a clear drivers abstract. I raised three children on my own as I was widowed. So my main hobby is connecting with my grown kids. I love travel, culture, languages, nature, making my surroundings comfortable and welcoming. I enjoy plants, gardening, greenhouses, cooking, reading, cycling, walking, & paragliding, being outdoors and talking to people. I like to know at the end of the day that I made someone else's life easier, happier or more stress-free. I am a very tidy and clean, well-organized person.

I started in a 1-year volunteer position then they hired me and I stayed 14 years until the contract was phased out. I then worked for various public and private positions in the Lower Mainland and BC Interior. I have been in the following positions in the last five years: 1 year live-in to support 75 y/o non-verbal female with Autism, all aspects Then 1 year caring for 2 children 4 & 6 y/o; the latter is Autistic. 3 years all aspects support for elderly couple 86 & 96 with medical issues concurrent with 3 years support to 24 y/o female with Autism, ODD, ADHD and became live-in position up to March 01, 2019. I am a fully government licenced practitioner of Social Services. I have been fully-employed in the Helping professions since 1990, widowed-early mother of 3 grown children, while being a student at uni level. I also volunteered several years, enjoy travel, personal development and outdoors. I funded my own education and I am considered by those who know me to be a hard-worker, cheerful, resilient and a co-operative team-player who collaborates well. I work well without supervision, have held supervisor-manager roles, program developer and worked in the dental field before focusing on my current field. I am resourceful and think on my feet-I am not easily rattled and buffer stress to find solutions before I rely on others.
