Reliable, experienced and energetic caregiver. Though I have been working corporately for the last few years, I have over 10+ years experience giving childcare and have recently decided leave the corporate world and work with children again. I also have owned a pet/house sitting business since 2013 when I was going to school in Calgary, and continued to provide my services while also working full time. I grew up on the east coast, just outside of Halifax. I have family located from Nfld to BC, and even Nunavut. After university I moved to Calgary where I spent 4 years. I went back to school while there and completed a 2 year legal program. Family is my biggest value in life and that is what ultimately lead me to Muskoka in late 2016 and then here to settle in Ottawa earlier this year. I continued to offer my services in Muskoka as well and again built a great clientele. I can provide references from Nova Scotia, Calgary, Muskoka AND Ottawa. I available immediately. I own my own vehicle and am quite flexible with hours. Growing up, I worked with children as early as 13 offering babysitting services as well as nursery and Sunday school in church. I also volunteered for multiple day/sleep away camps for various churches across Nova Scotia. In university I worked for multiple families with infants up to pre-teens, day and overnight care. I live in Kanata, and actively assist my close friend/roommate with her 5 year old son as well when needed (before/after school care, feeding, bath and bed routines, light housekeeping, etc).
I grew up with an older sister and also a brother who was born profoundly deaf and struggled with ADD, among other challenges. I am empathetic and compassionate, almost to a fault. I strive to provide excellent care, and understand that to a child, you are becoming a part of their world and are not simply out of sight, out of mind. I believe in making a connection and being someone you and your children can trust and rely on. |
