Hi everyone, my name is Jennifer. I am very positive, caring, reliable, and trustworthy. I have babysat a variety of ages over the years but the bulk of my experience is with a wonderful boy that I started looking after when he was 8 months-3 years old, from coaching a co-ed softball team of 8-9 year olds for two years, and au-pairing for a family in New Zealand for a year (3/4 year old and 5/6 year old). I have my food handlers safety certificate, have taken a course that covered fire safety but am not certified, and am CPR certified. At this moment I am in New Zealand working as an au-pair. In my final year of high school I was in a peer helping class which included ages 13 to 15. In the course I was responsible for these students and had a teacher assistant role. So I was very involved in caring and looking after these students. I looked after a little boy (8m/o) which obviously had lots of responsibility. This was my first time caring for this age and it was lovely. I had no problem following his schedule: this includes naps, feedings, walks, changing and play time, and this was for a solid month. I still look after him occasionally (he is 3 now). I looked after a 5 year old boy for one full day. The day mapped out was: playing a ton, lunch, tv for a bit (parent suggested for schedule), crafts and clean up. In 2015-2016 I coached a baseball team of 8-9 year olds. This was a co-ed team and my duties with this job was to be keeping everyone active, encouraging positive attitudes, set up, warm up, clean up, to be organized, multitask, assisting in skill development, and safety. I am currently working as an au-pair in New Zealand for a year (from end of May start to end of May finish). In this role I am with a 3 year old girl and a 5 year old boy (Will be 4 and 6 half way during my stay). I am responsible, caring, creative, fun-loving, open minded, a great listener, a smiley person and pay attention to details. If we connect and you trust me to enter your home to be responsible for your child(ren) you can bet if there is a schedule that I will be following it, I won't just plop your child(ren) in front of the tv for the day and I will be making sure everyone is happy, has an input on activities and hopefully can improve skills/learn.
