My name is Sydney, I am 28 and currently in university. I am looking for a temporary part or full-time position for the summer months, July and August. I’m hoping for four days a week, but I can be flexible with days and hours. I’m looking to start at the beginning of July. I have an extensive background in babysitting and nannying as you can read below. I have been babysitting all throughout my life, which then turned into nannying. For the three years throughout the pandemic, before returning back to school in September 2022, I was nannying full-time in Vancouver. I have great references that I can provide. I love getting the kiddos outside rain or shine. I love outdoor activities and adventures and believe it is so important to be active and get fresh air. I love building connections with children and being able to watch the world through their eyes and how differently they learn and explore through it. I am extremely passionate about living a positive and healthy lifestyle. I am really into being outdoors, yoga, meditation and anything that can contribute to my well-being. I am very empathetic and patient, and I believe my soft and loving personality creates a safe and caring environment for children.

My experience started at age 11 with a 3 year old boy during my summer break and also frequently on weekends. Soon after their family friend started bringing her 3 month old so I got comfortable with babies from the beginning. Then the word started spreading through my small town so I started doing it all through middle school and high school on my weekends. Children of all ages but predominately babies and toddlers, (lots of 10–15 month olds, 1 - 2 year olds). Once I was 16 and 17 I started babysitting quite frequently for my neighbour’s child. He was 6 months at the time and I watched him on weekends/summer until he was around 2. 5 years. When I was 18 and 19 I was babysitting for a couple families, a family with a 10 month old boy, and a family of two boys ages 1 and 6. When I was 20 and 21 I was nannying three girls ages 3, 5 and 7, for about 6 months throughout the summer months and then went to weekends while I was in college. In February 2020 I started nannying full time with two 3 year olds and worked up until September when they started pre school. For all of September and into October I helped a family temporarily which was two twin girls ages 3. 5 and an 8-year-old boy. In November to January I helped a family with children 8 months and 2 years. From January 2021-April 2022, I nannied a 2-year-old full-time. Following this position, I was a nanny for two 7-year-old girls and one 10 year old both for two months before moving.
