My name is Ashley and I am very excited to chat with all of the potential matches. I am 26 years old and live in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. I am outgoing and very bubbly. I love meeting new people and trying new things. One of the things I loved most about being an Au Pair is being able to meet other nannies and explore/adventure with them. I am a thrill seeker and always down for a new experience. I think it is very important to have the right blend of putting yourself out there and being extroverted, as well as taking time for yourself and being able to spend your own time for self care In my free time I enjoy going for walks, exploring the city, riding my electric scooter around, swimming and travelling. During the colder months I enjoy going to the ski hills. I love skiing. Skating is fun as well, although I look like Bambi on ice. When I was growing up I always had an interest in looking after children. At a young age I got my babysitters licence and would do odd jobs for family friends. My first proper nanny job was in Kelowna. I was working for a police officer and taking care of her 4 year old and 1 year old. They were amazing and I knew I wanted to keep doing jobs like that. I ended up leaving to go to Australia, but ended on great terms and still catch up with them. I have been to Australia twice now and on my second adventure there I ended up doing a live in Au Pair job for a family of 6 dog. The mother worked full time with the 3 year old who ad some learning disabilities, but from time to time I would look after her. There was a 5 year old as well, I helped her get ready for school and I would help with homework as well. My main priority was taking care of the 9 month old twins. We would go on walks, play with musical toys and read. I would get the boys up and ready in the mornings, feed them, dress them, put them down for naps and at the end of the night bathe and put them to bed. I was only there for 3 months as my visa permitted. When returning back to Canada I ended up working at a children's centre for a local gym. I would work with children as young as a few weeks, all the way to 12 years old. I worked there up until I moved to Vancouver. When I moved to Vancouver I had a live in nanny job which was a temporary summer position. Since then I have just been doing reception/driving work, looking to get back into nannying again. I would also like to mention I am certified in basic lifesaving as well as Emergency Medical Responder which is the first level of paramedic.

Dear future host family, My name is Ashley and I am a 28 years old and from Kelowna. I have been living in Vancouver for the last 6 years but will be returning back to Kelowna for May 1st.. I am very outgoing and love to explore new areas and meet new people. Some of my hobbies include running, skiing, surfing and traveling. About me I am currently studying part time as a Pilates instructor. I live a very healthy and active lifestyle. I have my Emergency Medical Responder as well as Basic life support certificates. Those both include child care. I have previous experience as a nanny in Kelowna working for a police officer. I looked after their youngest who was 1 and the eldest who was 4. From that job I moved to Australia and have since persude an Au Pair job. During my time abroad I was taking care of 4 children. 9 month old twin boys, a 3 year old girl and a 5 year old. The majority of my time was spent with the twins but I was still very involved with the other children. I often took the twins for a walk in the stroller. I helped out with general house tasks such as the dishwasher, cleaning up toys, helping with the children's dinner and vacuuming. When I returned home I worked at a Children's Activity Centre at a local gym where I look after children aged 2 months to 12 years before moving to Vancouver. Why do I want to be an au pair? I would love to work as an Au Pair/nanny again because I enjoy working and being around children. I love waking up everyday enjoying what I do. I am happiest when I am in a child care position.
