Hello there.
I am Aalya. My passion for working with childre began at the age of 12 when I would help at my aunt's Kumon center in Kenya where I was born and raised. I would volunteer after school and it was so rewarding. I moved to Calgary for high school and after graduating I got my Montessori diploma and immediately got a job at one of the best schools in Alberta. Imparting knowledge and giving children the opportunity to succeed for themselves gives me such happiness. I have been working as a pre school/montessori teacher for 10 years now and I absolutely love every minute of it.
My hobbies include painting, sketching, cooking and cuddling with my cat with a really good book. I have always wanted to travel but with a teachers salary and schedule it proves difficult. One day maybe. :)
I have always felt that we can learn so much from children because of their sheer honesty and innocence. I make it a point to learn something special about every child I meet in my carreer. I am making a change in my approach to childcare and instead of a classroom, I hope I can make these special bonds with children where they are most comfortable, at home.
Hope to hear from you soon.
I have worked in several pre schools in Calgary as well as in Africa where I was born and raised. I volunteered in a local school in Kenya where Materials were minimal and funding for quality care was very little.
When I moved to Canada, I was able to gain further education in the field and I chose Montessori as my speciality.
I taught at a montessori daycare after which I got a better position in a montessori pre school.
I have had experience in leadership roles, planning, daily cleaninh of the classroom and constant supervision of my class.
Additional Experiences/Qualifications:
I believe that I am a very qualified candidate for any position that I may take on as I have had valuable experience in child care and I take that with me wherever I go.
I am looking for a more easy going position as opposed to the classroom as I was recently very sick and am finally getting back on my feet.
Also as a Nanny I feel I can make a better impact and be more productive with a lower number of children as opposed to a whole classroom.
I have had extensive education in child care and have been in the industry fir a very long time.
Different schools have provided me with different methods, ideas and philosophies that I have in turn used in my teaching methods.
I specialized in Montessori and I really enjoy to use Montessori methods in the classroom as I have seen thr growth
