Hello parents. My name is Kate. I am a single young woman with no children of my own. I was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario and I am the oldest of five children. My interests include softball, spending time outdoors, exploring new and exciting things and places, and binge-watching Netflix. I suppose you could say I am a little bit of a kid at heart. I have always loved helping and caring for those around me. Even as a youngster I was taking care of my siblings and helping my mother with household chores. I suppose "mothering" so to speak has been something that comes naturally to me, and I am looking to bring my compassionate, warm, and loving touch to a wonderful family. Children are often a bright light in an occasionally ugly world, so I want to nurture and tend to that light in order to help you raise successful, resilient, and kind (to say the least) children.

I recently worked at a local child care centre during the summer months as an assistant for the classrooms, and I also spent some time performing administrative duties. I have volunteered in the past for a day camp for children, and I worked mainly with the four to six year-olds. I had as many as nine children to look after at any one time. Babysitting is also something I have done throughout the years from the time I was twelve.
