My name is Amanda, I am 29 years old. Currently I am an Educational Assistant in an elementary school life skills class. I am also taking ASL online. Previously, I have graduated from the Autism and Behavioural Sciences program at Fanshawe College. I have also obtained my Crisis Intervention Certificate and Child and Youth Care diploma. Before that, I completed a year (out of 2) of the Early Childhood Education program at Humber College, before changing gears to CYC. In my spare time, for the past 11 years, I have been volunteering weekly with Girl Guides of Canada as a Brownie Leader, working with girls age 7-8 and various camps as a counsellor. I enjoy hiking, read, watch movies, and going out for coffee with friends. Through my many, many experiences working with children and youth, both girls and boys (up to 25yrs), I have gathered various games, songs, and crafts, which I could bring with me given the opportunity. I have gained a huge passion for working with children and youth over the years and my hope is to be able to bring this to assist you and your family.
