My name is Vanessa. I am 20 years old and I am currently living in Maple Ridge. I have recently moved back to Canada after from London England where I spent the past year Au Pairing for 4 children. I have a passion for working with children and youth, I have always wanted a career with Children. I believe that your children are the future of this world and that raising them to be kind, inclusive, strong is so important. I love all things creative and love finding new places to explore and learn. I think the world has so much to offer, and I love learning about other countries and their cultures. Before starting school this September, I spent my year traveling and learning with an organization called Youth with a Mission. I spent 3 months in Hawaii, 3 months in Norway and a month in Orlando Florida. This was an amazing experience, I grew so much in my confidence and met so many amazing people. I spent the past year working as a live in Au pair in London England. During that time I looked after four children, ages 7-18 months and 3-4 years. I also have experience in working in a before and after school daycare setting. I have always loved being around kids their curiosity and joy is so amazing to be around. I have been casually babysitting and nannying since I was 14 but I have 4 years of childcare in a formal environment.I graduated in November 2020 with my diploma Social Service Worker Child and Youth Specialist.
