  About Me

Hey, my name is Jennifer. I am looking for an au pair position in or near Winnipeg, Manitoba. Location is flexible as I hold a valid Class 5 Manitoba Drivers Licsense. Hours are negotiable but my preference is for a long-term, position but I will take all positions available.

I have had experience with ages 11months to age 13. Both girls and boys. I have done light housework, meal prep and have run the odd errand. Helped with homework, reading, toilet training, crafts, you name it I have done it.

I am happy to help with newborn care, teaching numbers, letters, and colors, and pet care. I also am comfortable working with twins. I have multiple years of experience, CPR, first aid, and food handler certification, as well as clean, recent Background checks for the CAR, Adult-abuse registry, and Vulnerable-sector. I drive my own car also which can be used to drive your children around, though car seats would need to be provided. I hold both a health care aide and recreational facilitator certification. I cook, (gluten free, if needed) clean and will pretty much run your house if needed. I have a reference if you need it.

Well I have done childcare for the past 2-3 years, I have done ages 11 months to age 13 both girls and boys. I have had a little bit of experience with twins(boy and girl ages 5). I have done up to four at a time. My most common is three ages 1- 5 girls. Have helped rise them for about one year then there mom went on maternity leave and went back for the new baby at 11 months that I help with as well as the 3 and 5 year old girls. I have helped them with learning numbers, letters and write their names. I help them with spelling there names out loud. Also I read to them on a regular basis. For I find that is very important to have in theirs lives. I help with feeding, naps and potty training.
With another family I have helped with reading, word recognition, and team building. They were a primarily a French speaking family, (I am not a French speaking person) I helped with their English. We played a board game after to help with team building. Plus a little fun never hurts. I would help with dinner prep. And snacks for the children which mostly was fruits and vegetables. I believe in a healthly life style for all. I cooked gluten for the family.
I also have cared for a mentally challenged boy, age 13. I would drive him to places for activities, such as sports and social outing to give his mother a break.
My goal, is to find a family that would need me for a long term. That let me grow with the family to become a like a member of the family. I would love to help you with your child and if you have any further children. I would love to help them grow, experience the world In a safe and interesting way. I would like to take them on walks around the city, like the parks like I have done with my other family.
