My name is Brooklynne and I am a fourth-year university student studying general sciences and education. My main teachable subject is math so if your child needs help with math I am your person. My education is online for this upcoming year, so my schedule is open, and I am available anytime during the week or weekend to offer services of childcare or education. I am flexible in terms of scheduling and adjusting to your needs. I am good at communicating especially with children aged 6-12 as I have worked primarily with this age. I am a fun-loving, easy-going person who is always up to a challenge, which also means I am open to learning and creating new experiences for myself. My hobbies include outdoor activities, reading, and volunteering. I have coached soccer for many years and can easily get your children outside and enjoying sports.

As I attended high school I babysat from age 13-18 for many different families with children of all ages. During high school and after, I have volunteered as a soccer coach and coached children aged 6-10. As I am an education student I have spent time in a classroom for a practicum where I aided in teaching a grade 1 class. From this experience I have learned ways to integrate fun educational activities into childcare. Last summer I ran my own STEAM camps for children aged 6-12. Under my supervision these children attended my camps once a week for 2 hours and engaged in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math activities that I created and led them through. At my camps the children were given snacks so it was my responsibility to buy and prepare healthy snacks for the children each week all while adhering to allergies and special food requests. Additionally, this past year I volunteered with a not for profit that promotes physical literacy for children with special needs. In this program I learned how to work with children with a diversity of special needs. For the past two summers I have worked at a not for profit that promotes education and literacy, so reading is fundamental to me and I will encourage as much reading as possible for your children. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have foodsafe level 1 in order to prepare food.

I am a fourth-year general science and education student at the University of Lethbridge. This fall I am taking 3 classes so I am only a part-time student. I am taking two degrees at once. My one degree is a general science degree with streams in math, neuroscience, and psychology. I have taken child psychology classes as a way to understand more about the development of children. My second degree is an education degree. My goal once I graduate is to become a math teacher and eventually hopefully get my masters in education to work either as a principal or a guidance counsellor. Last summer I obtained my Level 1 first aid training as well as CPR training.

I provided childcare at all levels on and off for Todd for 5 years until his children grew up. I provided childcare his two children for him when needed which was often during the day or on occasion overnight. I prepared meals for the children as well as did light cleaning when necessary. I helped his children with their homework and played educational games with them as per the request of Todd. If the children were in school I picked them up from school and took them to their extracurricular activities.

I worked for Sandy at CBAL which is a not for profit organization that promotes literacy and education. I ran STEAM camps for children as well as handed our free books to people of all ages. This position was only a summer position as I attended school in the fall. I worked for CBAL in the summer of 2019 as well as the summer of 2020.
