Hi. My name is Katy, I am currently in school for conflict resolution and am looking for some work as a childcare provider in the mean time. I come from a huge family where there are always small children around and have worked with kids of all ages. I have first aid, a pleasurecraft operators licence, and my class 5 drivers licence. I have only ever been in one car accident in my 10 years of driving and I was found to have 0 fault. I love to bake both healthy and indulgent treats, I also love to read (literacy for children and teens is a cause near and dear to my heart), and I love pets and animals. My belief when it comes to children is that screen time should be limited and imagination and sense of adventure should be encouraged. I believe in outside time, healthy snacks, crafts, and lots of hugs and attention. As far as discipline is concerned, I would prefer to follow the lead of the parents so that the children have a stable environment.

My experience is mostly with family and family friends, as a teen I was a regular babysitter for a little girl with Asperger's and her sister and multiple other families. As an adult I am relied upon by several of my cousins and aunts and uncles to care for their children, I have taken care of cousins from newborn to my oldest "little cousin" who is now 16.
