I am a 28 year old Social Work student, I am completing my studies online therefore I have flexible availability. I have worked as a nanny/ babysitter and child care for nearly 12 years, my passion is working with children as a supportive and motivated role model, as well as incorporating learning Into play. I additionally work as a development specialist in early intervention for children with autism, at the society for treatment of autism. My position is casual. I am a highly energetic person, love spending time outside, doing crafts, reading and have an obsession for yoga. My husband and I spend a lot of time in the mountains or outside in general. I am looking to spend my time with those who need the extra care/help and motivation. I have worked with children as young as 1 years old and also worked with seniors as a recreation assistant, therefor my experience is well rounded.

I have worked as a nanny for a family of 4 children, ages 3 to 14, two boys and two girls. My initial job duties were helping with homework, meals, home cleaning ( laundry, dishes, vaccuming, mopping, dusting, windows and emptying garbage) hygienic reminders to cue the children to bath/ brush teeth. ensuring their in bed at their set time, reading bedtime stories, initiating social and physical interactive games, visiting parks and recreation centres (swimming), assisting with medical doctors appointmens as well as some pick ups from school. Additionally I have 6 years experience with children with complex special needs and the initial duties broaden from assisting from toiletting and hygiene to creative and cognitive stimulating games, life skills strengthening and managing of challenging behaviour. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Additionally I have experience with children with complex special needs ( autism, cerebral palsy, FASD, ADHD) and have immense patience and therapeutic recreation experience, also with individuals with acquired Brain injury and seniors. I am studying human services online and will achieve my bachelors in 2020.
