I started to work as a helper since 2008 in Singapore, I'd been working there for 3 years with a Korean family. My duties are going to the market, prepare the meal, house keeping and ironing the clothes. The kid was 10 years old when l was started to work with their family. After working for 3 years in Singapore, I moved to Hong Kong and worked there for 2 years and 2 months. l look after with 3 kids (2 boys twin-6years old with special need and 1 girl-4 year old). The boys have a DMD (DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY - A severe progressive form of muscular dystrophy of males that appears in early childhood, affects the muscles of the legs before those of the arms and the proximal muscles of the limbs before the distal ones, is inherited as an X-link recessive trait, is characterized by complete absence of protein dystrophy, and usually has a fatal outcome by age 20). And my duties are taking care of the kids. Preparing them going to school, get them dressed, prepare the snack and the breakfast. The twins, I had to be assist them in walking. If they got a class in 2nd, 3rd or 4th floor of the school I need carry them at my back going up and down the stairs or if they got an activity outside the classroom I look after them inside the classroom or doing some activity while waiting the class to get back in. Going to the Doctor for the monthly check up of the twins. Dropping off and picking up the kids. House keeping. Preparing the meals. Making beds. Bathing the kids and playing with them. And I'd been working here in Canada for 1 year and 11 months as live in-caregiver looking after the 3 kids(6, 3, and1 years old) dropping off and picking up the kids sometimes, going to the park, reading a short story, doing some activity books, teaching how to read and write the ABC alphabet, cooking and baking, house keeping, making beds, do the laundry and ironing the clothes.
