I am a professional holding a diploma in business marketing (2017) as well as a early learning and child care diploma (2010). I have over 10+ years experience in child care working with children ages 12 months to 15 years. During my child care career I have also held a position as the Alternate Director of a day care center, where I was responsible for the operation of the child care center and additional assistance to the the director. I currently run a before and after care program at a private school in Calgary, therefore I am looking for a position to fill my time between my shifts at the school. In my spare time I like to go hiking, biking, and camping. But I also have a passion for photography as well as crocheting animals for friends and family. I am married and we are currently working on starting our own family. One day I would like to open a day home to provide care and education to children and families in my community using my extensive experience in early education.

I have 10 years of child care experience working with ages 12 months to 12 years. I have experience working with all ages but I love working with the younger infants and toddlers. I plan educational activities that are based on children's interests. Each activity is designed to be fun and engaging for the children while also teaching basic concepts such as letters, numbers, shapes, cause and effect, to cover the areas of language, math, and science. I believe in being present with the child at all times, by playing and engaging with them as much as possible. Outside time is a must for gross motor play and my discipline policy is redirection (encourage the child to move to a new activity to take a break from the situation/activity they are struggling with) I have my level 3 in child care (Child Development Supervisor) I have my updated CPR/First Aid expires in 2022 I currently run a before and after care program at a private school for ages 4 -12. My shifts are as follows Monday-Friday 7:00-8:45am and 2:30-5:30pm. I am hoping to find a position to fill the 5 hours between my shifts. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Certified Infant Massage Teacher - I am certified to teach parents and caregivers how to massage their infants and toddlers.
