Hello My name is Marie and I am 16 years old. I was born in Quebec, where I learned to speak French, but I grew up in Alberta, where I learned to speak English. I now live in Quebec with my parents and both of my sisters. I also learned Spanish when I did a student exchange in Mexico. I have been taking care of kids since I was 11 years old. At the moment, I am the babysitter of a 5 years old deaf girl that has a cochlear implant and her sister. I am also taking care of a young 3 year old boy and his twin sisters that are 7 years old. I am very comfortable around kids with disabilities and with infants. On a personal note, I would like to become a doctor when I grow up, but for the moment I only have my high school diploma. As for the kids, I have my "bronze star" in my lifeguard classes. In other words, I am a good swimmer and I like to move and play. My parents often tell me I have to much energy but I think it can be a good thing in this case. My hobbies are mostly doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games, riding my bike, and doing activities with my friends. At my house I do a lot of cooking and house chores. I would be interested to work as a Live-in nanny for the summer. Marie

When I was 13, I volunteered in my old day care. During this time, I took care of kids that were 3 to 12 months, and all the ages above. In my babysitting jobs, I have taken care of special needs children and twins of 6 years old. This summer, I will have my High School diploma. I am ready to learn anything that the parents may need.
