Hi, let me introduce myself.
My name is Salome Sou and my background is Laos which is a small land-locked country located in South-East Asia but born and raised here in Canada. I love to swim, cook, hike, go on adventures and teach. I love animals however I am allergic to most in home pets with fur, especially cats. Any reptiles or aquatic animals I am okay with because I own a few myself. I also enjoy having a great time and making a fun and stable environment for everyone. I have volunteered for a total of 7+ years at a few camps through the Salvation Army and school where I work, play and teach younger children ranging from infants to 15 year olds.
I also babysit (and currently still do) since I was 13. A lot of my positions included me working with kids whether it was to teach them a sport or subject, watch over them or to do any daily "around the house" care work.

For babysitting:
-I answer a wide range of childcare needs for parents leaving on business or personal trips, in need of after school care or out for a day/evening.
-I prepare meals for children and maintain cleanliness of the home
-I provide safe and engaging environment for all of the children
-I bathe/groom younger children when needed and assist older children with bedtime preparations
-I read to children and engage in a range of educational and fun activities
-I supervise children at extra-curricular activities and transport to and from site
-I occasionally handle sick children who must stay home from or leave early from school
-I stay overnight to watch the child/children if parents request to leave for any reason (business, vacation, etc. )
For volunteer work, I was a:
-Music Tutor/ Assistant at Cardinal Ambrozic C. S. S. (I taught the brass and percussion section for grade 9 students as a part of my co-op)
-Timbrel Dance Leader at the Salvation Army Church for 3 years (for ages 4-6 & 7-13)
-Junior Helper/ Counselor at the Salvation Army MOMS & TOTS overnight week camp for 8 years (for ages infant to 6)
-Junior Helper at the Salvation Army Bible Day Camp for a week during the summer. Volunteered for 5 years. (for ages 5-12)
-Day Camp Leader for the Salvation Army Mission Team for 3 years. It was an overseas camp located in the Bahamas. A team and I volunteered for a week every summer to bring a fun learning summer camp to the less fortunate kids (for ages 5-12)
-I volunteered at the COVENANT HOUSE HOMELESS SHELTER for 4 years (for teens and young women)
(For most of the volunteer work, I was required to have a criminal check done so if requested, it is not a problem at all. )
I have many references that you may contact at your own convenience for full liability
I currently attend summer school at Humber College North Campus. I have my own insured vehicle with a G2 license (I will be getting my G license soon) that I go to and from with. I attend school part-time during school months (September- May) for Business Administration which is a 3 year program. I will be going into my second year this upcoming September 2017.
