Hi there! My name is Abbey, I am currently 24 years old and looking to pick up some additional part time work doing something I love! I am currently a housing support worker for Homeless Youth in the Niagara Region and hoping to find some evening hours. I have extensive experience working with children ages 9 months - 14 years old. I have been an occasional babysitter, full time nanny and tutor in an elementary school. I completed my Bachelors of Honours at Brock University in Child and Youth Study. I am caring, compassionate and come with numerous assets to engage and challenge children from my own experience and education. I am a huge ready and will often spend my evenings reading outside. I have been an occasional babysitter for families in my neighbourhood starting from age 13. Throughout my time at Brock University I helped manage a classroom upwards of 20 students in placement settings. I have individually managed tutor literacy groups at a primary school for individuals with and without exceptionalities. These groups often ranged from 4-6 students at a time. I have nannied full time for a lovely little girl and her family, starting when she was 9 months up until 2 years old. I unfortunately had to discontinue this when COVID 19 hit us. I now work full time with youth ranges from ages 16-24 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk on a daily basis.
