My name is Isabelle and I am a 24 year old Law Student at Dalhousie Schulich School of Law. I am originally from Vancouver BC, but moved to Kingston, ON to complete my Undergraduate degree at Queen's University. Upon graduation in 2021, I moved to Toronto and worked for a homecare software company until September 2022, when I enrolled in Law school here at Dal. In addition to my work and education experience, I have spent the majority of my life surrounded by children. Throughout highschool, I regularly volunteered at elementary schools, assisting children with their school work and ran a physical education program. During the summers, I worked as a camp instructor at Pedalheads Bike Camp where I lead a group of 7 children, varying from ages 4-12. I was promoted to Site Manager and took on the most senior position at the site. In addition to overseeing all of the campers, I managed a team of 20 instructions and all of the required administrative tasks. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I volunteered with a student run club called Queen's Kaleidoscope Effect. As a student mentor, I facilitated weekly one-on-one mentoring sessions with an at-risk elementary school. Throughout our sessions, I implementation a variety of personalized interaction and educational activities. Our primary goal was to act as positive role models for the students through assisting in the navigation of social challenges and essential life skills. Lastly, I've spent many of my summers back home, throughout my university terms, babysitting for a good family friend of mine. Usually, I'd spend weekend evenings with the 7-year old daughter (until she was 10), doing light house-work, and laundry.
