Hello my name is Perla and I am 41 years old. I was born in Brazil and immigrated to Canada with my husband and daughter in 2008. I lived in Edmonton until last week when I moved to Coquitlam. I graduated with a degree on occupational therapy in Brazil. But without having a strong understanding of English, I worked in maintance and cleaning being promotated to a supervisor in the Edmonton area with West Care facility company for 5 years. My last job was working with the City of Edmonton where I worked as a custodian in recreational facilities for the last 4 years. Since I moved to Coquitlam in the last few days and I feel more confident with my English, I have decided to return to my field and true passion that is helping and taking care of people. I have 9 years experience with rehabilitation in Brazil where I worked with children, adults, and seniors with mental disabilities and I had a specilization in mental health. In Edmonton I had an opportunity to start my practical nurse course, but unfortunately I was not able to finish. But I was able to experience practice with nursing homes and volunteering as well. I can describe myself as a hard working, reliable, and responsible person. I am married with 2 children and I want to improve my work skills doing training courses and working at the same time. I hope to achieve my goals in this new city that I choose to move to.

I am a mother of two kids and also occasionally babysit my friends' kids.
