I have been raised around other children growing up as my mother is a music teacher, as well as having three older brothers of my own. I am hoping to get into the field of education sometime in the following year. I have always had a love for children, they bring so much joy with just the simple goofy things they do. As for the dirty diapers and spills that are bound to happen, I am experienced and more than willing to clean up and take care of your kiddos. I have worked in childcare for most of my life, and the past 5 years I have worked in the nannying area. I took care of three children in Saskatchewan full time for 3 months as my primary job last summer, and this year have been balancing finishing school with the occasional childcare job opportunity. I am a believer in raising and disciplining the children I care for by the parents discretion/guidelines. I do not tolerate any type of physical discipline coming from me as a nanny as I am uncomfortable with doing so. However, I do understand that there is a time and place for discipline, and how that is handled will once again be up to the parents/guardians. However, when the time comes for a reward or celebration, I am more than willing to take the children out for a fun day, activity, or treat. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am willing to do household laundry as long as it does not include personal undergarments of other household family members/anyone older than a child. Wage expectation can be discussed. I require an official document for rate of pay and time of contract, as well as discussion of availability for personal time off if the contract is longer than 3 months.
