Hi there. My name is Maija (pronounced "my-ah"), I am a 22-year-old female, I am very comfortable with animals as I have a cat of my own. I have had plenty of experience working with young children in classroom settings as well as babysitting, teaching and supervising music lessons as well as nannying full time. Both of my parents are teachers, so naturally I was brought up in a household that was very educational, we never did anything that didn't have an educational aspect to it. I pride myself on being very mature and well spoken as well as patient and caring towards others. I love to sing, act and read. Some things I value highly in my life are honesty, respect, manners and most importantly some good genuine fun. :)

Nannying and homeschooling 4 children (2 boys aged 4 & 5, and 2 Girls aged 6). One child required special attention (special needs). Nannying 3 children (2 boys aged 8 and 10 months, and 1 girl aged 3) Babysitting 3 children (boys aged 18 months, 3, 5) I have volunteered in a classroom for ESL (English as a Second Language) students. Babysitting family friends young children as well as younger cousins. Directing a School play. Performer and organizer for a company that hosts children's birthday parties. (I can do a stellar Elsa) Teaching and supervising children while in and out of voice lessons. A background of special needs Knowledge and experience (my parents were both special needs and behaviour teachers with the Edmonton Public School Board for 30+ years).

I was attending the University of Alberta for my Bachelors degree in Education (Drama Maj/English Min) and my Arts degree with a Drama Major.
