I am an outdoor educator, soon to be nutritionist and community support person. I am looking for part-time work beginning March 3rd 2020. I am extremely passionate about the natural world, and am happy to be outside in all weather conditions. I love to cook, I have been a lifeguard for 10 years, and hiking through the forest is my favorite activity. I have many years experience working with children and teens with varying needs. During University I worked as a lifeguard and canoe instructor at a summer camp for 4 years. I have worked as an outdoor educator for multiple seasons at 2 different locations. I have been a nanny. I have worked very closely with children on the autism spectrum and youth at risk. I have worked in a residential youth home with teens and young adults facing mental health and addiction challenges. And now I am an outdoor education interpreter for the RVCA where I most often teach children about wetlands :) I encourage kids to explore nature, get upclose and personal with small creatures and leave hopefully foster a relationship between them and the natural world.
