I am a recent high school graduate with two years of working with children at an overnight camp with the YMCA. I am fluent in French and speak Spanish quite well. My hobbies include anything artistic, as well as sports and reading. I play the guitar and the piano. I have been told by many clients and children that I am quite energetic and fun as well as caring and down to earth. I have never been the child who watches television or is on the internet so when I see a child who is, I encourage them to do an activity, whether that is a sport, a craft, a game or anything that engages them in some way. I graduated high school with honours, which is useful when children of any age have homework and need help with it.

I have worked with children for over five years but have only had a legitimate job in the field for two. I worked with the YMCA at Camp Chief Hector, which is an overnight camp in the Kananaskis region in the Rocky Mountains. While at the YMCA I have worked with children from the ages of 4 to 13. While Camp Chief Hector's overnight program only facilitates children from the ages of 6 and up, I worked in the South Heath Campus YMCA during Spring Break of 2017 where I worked with 4 and 5 year old children during the day. Working for the YMCA my duties have been to engage children in various activities throughout the day, facilitate different programs such as rock climbing and swimming. I was also required to teach them the core values of the YMCA which are: responsibility, caring, honesty and respect. These values are essential to everyone, especially children to ensure that they grow with these values and use them in their everyday lives.
