I am a full-time student at the University of British Columbia, graduating in the spring with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. I have always been passionate about children and have been looking after them since I was 12 years old. I also have over 5 years of experience as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor (3 of these I was also an Auxiliary Deck Supervisor) and 2 years of experience as a Child Life Volunteer at the BC Children’s Hospital. These experiences have made me a knowledgeable and competent individual in first aid and child care alike. As per my personal life; I love being active and spending time outside, painting/crafting, reading and photography. I look forward to sharing my passions with your children and help to develop in them a sense of curiosity, love for learning and a promoting a healthy active lifestyle. Right now, I am looking for a part time job starting January that I could balance with my lighter course load but I am available some nights and weekends until then. I have 5 years of experience teaching children swimming lessons and water safety. My experience is predominantly with preschool ages however I have taught all age groups. As a Child Life Volunteer for the BC Children's Hospital I have lots of experience playing fun and educational games with children of all ages at their bedside and in the playroom. This is of course in addition to my 10 years of experience looking after children in their homes.
