Qualifications Full time care for elderly, Alzheimer’s and post-surgical patients throughout my 25 year nursing career. Interacted with patients as well as families with the highest degree of respect and patience. Education 1994-1995 Certified Personal Care Work graduate from Nova Scotia Community College with additional diploma in Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia. Experience 2017-2018 – Elder Care – Duties include 24 hour care of clients. Some of these duties are transportation to and from appointments, administration of medications, changing dressings, cooking, cleaning, bathe clients, complete reports for nurses and other care givers. 2004-2012 – Nursing Attendant at Peter Lougheed Hospital – Intensive Care nurse – Duties included assisting Registered Nurses with all procedures and care plans. Providing care to patients from critically ill to discharge and all areas in between. I assisted and took instruction from doctors and nurses and administered daily care for spinal patients. 1993-2002 – Personal Care Worker at Maple Hill Manor – Personal Care Worker – As a personal care worker at Maple Hill Manor I had the absolute privilege of caring for the elderly. Making this nursing home feel like home was my top priority for these residents. My duties included everything from feeding the mobile to caring for the bed ridden.
