I am a kind, family orientated person who loves spending time with my family. I come from a big loving family of 7 children. I enjoy hiking, playing sports and baking. I am reliable, organized and follows instructions very well. I have many years of experience babysitting children as well as volunteering work that involved helping children with communicative disorders.
I have childcare experience with children of all different ages; from newborn to 12 years of age. I also have experience caring for children with type 1 diabetes. This involves calculating the amount of carbohydrates that are in each of their meals, as well as doing pump site changes, treating lows, and night time checks to ensure the child does not fall too low or too high during the night.
I graduated from McMaster University with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics. Afterwards I attended Durham College for their Communicative Disorders Assistant graduate certificate program.
