Raised in England and graduated High School In England. I have four children aged 16 - 24. I have great time management skills as I went to college full time for 3 years, worked part time and kept the home organized. Children and Youth was and still is my passion so I went to college and graduated Georgian College as a Child and Youth Worker (Counsellor) with Honours, 2007-2010. I have also completed 3 years of my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Laurentian University, 2015-2019. I recently completed my CPR level C which is for Infants, children and adults, plus the use of an Automated Defibrillator or AED. I understand children and youth very well. After graduating I worked on the front line with troubled children and teens for four years. I also have a clear vulnerable check and criminal check. I also completed a course for Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Association (AODA), Workers Health and Safety Awareness, plus I am a member of Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC) in good standing. I play drums, fix cars, bikes and computers plus much more, I can cook, prep food and make homes safe for children. I like listening to my kids, which is key to all things young and old. I help them get over a bad day and what they are working on and how to help them through it. Humour helps a lot. Good computer skills, writing, grammar, filing reports and more.

I have worked in a group home setting with children and youth for over 10 years, helping with school work, planning meals, helping with organizing how chores can be completed by the clients. Dealing with other problems as they arrive, take them to doctors appointments. Plan outings to parks and play areas such as Canada's Wonderland and more. These homes where unique as they where converted houses to give a home feeling. Which had the ability to give one on one time to figure out the needs of each client as they arise. Some problems included but where not limited to hygiene (Bathing, washing hair, brushing teeth and more), dressing, laundry, cooking and more. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have worked in a school setting as well as section 23 classrooms during my placements helping children with school work, in group homes with adults and children with Autism, developmental delay, dual diagnosis, those under the care of the county. Dealing with trauma and anxiety. I am also the father of four children so I am well versed in the needs of children and teens. I have looked after many children with a variety of needs. As a Child and Youth Counsellor is trained in the development of children and youth. The interaction between children and how it helps in the structure and there social interactions between similar age groups. We are also trained in dealing with those who have disabilities in learning such as Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and other related fields including those who have compulsive disorders such as ADD or OCD and so on.
