Hello, I am a Kamloops resident just finishing up my B. A. with a major in history. I am taking one year off of school while I study for my LSAT. I graduated from NorKam Secondary in 2014 with my International Baccalaureate certificate. I have worked within the healthcare sector, as well as experience in education as a tutor and a certified ESL teacher. I am the second oldest in my family and have ample experience taking care of children, both healthy and those with special needs. Additionally, I am a certified first aid attendant. In my spare time I enjoy horseback riding and compete in the spring and summer months. I also enjoy being active in all seasons, including snow shoeing and skiing in the winter months and hiking with my dog when the snow is gone. Most of my experience has been looking after cousins. Their age ranges from 2-13 years of age. I have experience preparing meals, putting children to bed, and finding activities to do together such as in house games, walks, and going to fun parks. My formal experience has been looking after a child with cerebral palsy who could not walk, eat or talk. In the time I had taking care of him I administered medication, bathed, fed, and changed him as well doing activities such as swimming, going to water parks and petting zoos. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have experience as a tutor, research assistant, professor's assistant, a customer service representative, residential support worker, home caregiver, server, and host.
