Hello. A little bit about me: I am a creative, aspiring writer and translator with a nurturing personality. I am passionate about serving and assisting others and grew up as the eldest of three children, with a younger brother eight years my junior whom I often cared for at home. I was a certified babysitter at 12 years old and often cared for neighbourhood toddlers throughout my teens. I was raised in a fully bilingual household (French and English) and possess extensive customer service experience in different fields. During a year of study abroad in the third year of my undergraduate, I was a private English tutor for an Italian family with a twelve year-old boy. -I am the eldest of 3 children: Grew up helping my mother with my younger sister and baby brother (8 years younger). On an almost daily basis, I walked him to and from school, did homework with him, cooked meals, bathed him and put him to bed. -My mother babysat neighbourhood children throughout my teens. I helped her supervise and prepare snacks. -I became a certified babysitter at 12 years of age. Throughout my adolescence, I regularly babysat for neighbourhood families with up to 3 kids. I prepared snacks and meals, read bedtime stories and put them to bed. -I ran an after-school ESL tutoring club my final year of high school, for younger peers whose maternal language was not English, and found the experience meaningful and rewarding. -I was a private English tutor for an Italian family with a boy in middle school, over a 6 month period during my year of study abroad at the University of Bologna in northern Italy.
