Hi there,
My name is Louise and I am a trustworthy, reliable 27yr old female. I am an outgoing person with a passion for the outdoors, animals and travelling. I am a new grad nurse and completed my studies from the Practical Nursing program through Bow Valley College. I am currently waiting to write my licensing exam next month.
I come from a very large family and have had plenty of experience in caregiving. I grew up with over twenty cousins, and began helping change diapers when I was just 8 years old. Most of my experience in caregiving has mainly been with family and/or close family friends. I have also had the opportunity working as a summer camp leader for PAAL, a program for children and youth with physical and intellectual disabilities, ran by the University of Saskatchewan.
During my time in school, I have had opportunities to work in various care settings in hospitals as well as Long term care facilities. My experience includes rotations at Day surgery, neurosciences, dementia and palliative care.
Fitness and health play a big role in my life, and I enjoy passing that knowledge onto others as well. I also enjoy trying new sports such as boxing, mountain biking, rock-climbing, and snowboarding. In my past time, I enjoy being outdoors and love to explore in the mountains with my two dogs. I am also active in volunteering with one of my dogs through the Calgary PALS Pet Therapy Program.
I have over 5 years of experience caring for children ages 28 months- 12 years old. Most of my experience in childcare has mainly been with family and/or close family friends. I have also had the opportunity working as a summer camp leader for PAL, a program for children and youth with physical and intellectual impairments ran by the University of Saskatchewan.
I am currently completing my second year of nursing school and plan to get my RN in the future and specialize in pediatrics.
