I provide the best care to the kids Ive been taking care of. I consider myself another Grown-Up in home besides the parents. Also, consider myself a big sister who will guide my brother/sister (your children) to do the good/right thing and become a good person. I can cook well especially healthy meal. I can also bake. I love doing arts and music. I love taking the kids to the park, museum, library, beaches, go on adventures.

My typical day schedule with current family: I watch baby all day (10hr) starts from 7:30, take baby to baby playgroup, library etc. I feed and changed him as needed and I pick up the oldest girl (walking distance) at school around 2pm then we stay at the park or go to library or come back home do arts and crafts. I usually put baby in the baby front carrier or use stroller when we go out. Then around 4-5, we go to pick up the middle girl at her pre-school, come back and make/eat dinner and play until one of the parents gets home around 6ish. I do occasionally extra evening/night sometimes as needed. Im flexible as long as you give me a notice (even you dont, we can still discuss as I understand some parents have shifts work or some has some job comes up without notice so I would totally understand and willing to cover that part. )

Additional Experiences/Qualifications/Preferences:
December, 2018 Dear future host family, My name is Tichaya Tichinpong or Katie. I am 24 years old from Thailand. I am so excited to become part of your family and cant wait to start my journey in Canada. Ive been working as an Au Pair in Boston, Massachusetts for 2 years for 2 wonderful host families. I was born and raised in the southern Thailand in a family of 4 which includes my father, mother, older sister (29) and me. My parents worked so hard on raising my sister and me. We were not a wealthy family but they finally were able to send me to study abroad at the age of 14. I spent 2 years with Thai-Malaysian family in a Chinese secondary school with diverse students from neighbor countries such as Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and so. That was the first time I was away from home. At the age of 16, I moved to study in a small town called Wanaka in the southern New Zealand and spent a year with 2 lovely host families and graduate a high school from there. I had a gap year after coming back home and that was when I started working on online business for the first time. I began my new journey in Singapore to pursue a business Degree. In the meanwhile, I was working on my clothing line but later on, I dropped out and went back to Thailand to work on my online business. For 4 years, I worked so hard on my business and it was still growing back then with my parents support. Unfortunately, my family ran into personal business issue that I had to stop doing what I love and we decided to start a coffee shop and after 2 years, I decided to look for a program where I can come to America. I heard about Au Pair and it interested me a lot because I adore children. I signed up and flew to USA and time flies, it is time for the next journey but I realized how much I love kids but unfortunately I cant extend any longer here. As I became an Au Pair, it gives me a lot of experience where I cannot buy from anywhere and also it has brought me a memory of my childhood that I always wanted to become a teacher. Im so happy I found this program Live-in Caregiver where I can continue working with children and working for another wonderful family. I started working at the age of 17 and that brings me the independence. I am a self-starter, responsible, hard-working and reliable. Besides the hard-work, in my free time, I love to explore new places and take pictures. On my lazy day when Im not working, you can find me at the coffee shop or around neighborhood. I love to go for a walk/jog and window shopping. On vacation or long weekend, I love to go hiking, beaches, amusement park or explore another city. I love to experience new things and Im not afraid to try new food. I can eat anything and Im not picky about food at all. I can cook very well especially healthy food. I can also bake and yes I love to cook. I do respect the house rules if you have any. Ive always been living with a host family when Im abroad so I understand every family is different. Refer to my Au Pair job, I have been working as an Au Pair for 2 family in the period of 2 years. I worked for a family in Brookline, MA from April 2017-April 2018 and took care of 3 children aged 2, 4, 6. Currently, Ive been working for a family in Cambridge, MA and taking care of 3 children aged newborn, 3, 7. I provide all childcare related jobs such as waking up children, get them dressed, drop off/pick up from school and activities, cook and feed them, give them bathe, play with them, pick up/clean up their toys and play area including tidy up their room. Also, I help with their homework/workbook and supervise at the park, swimming pool (anywhere in the water), outdoor activities, play dates. I enjoy working with children and understand the parents need. I could be the third Grown-Up in the house that you can trust and rely on. Im very patient and I follow your rules/discipline and set of regulations you have for your children. I am very calm with children and I have different type of discipline for each age group but I mainly have them be in Time-Out and communication is the key, Ill always talk with them during/after timeout about what happened and ask if they know why they are in timeout. Understanding is another key, understand them when they are upset about something and explain clearly why they cannot have/do what they want. Ill always compliment and give them a small prize to cheer them up and encourage if they do something good. In my future, I plan to study about Education and stay in this field. I love working with children and I plan to complete my degree in ECE or Elementary education and even becoming a teacher. I want to come to Canada because I still want to work with children and Live-in Caregiver program will give me another opportunity to do what I love and more experience before I go back to school in future. You dont have to worry about me leaving the family, I will not go back to school anytime soon but maybe Ill just take some classes on my weekend or after work. I know the main purpose of coming here is working with children and provide them the best care and I know they are my first priority. I can stay as long as you need me to if everything between us go well. (The reason why I did not extend my second year with my first host family is because I needed Baby care experience) After all, I am looking forward to come to Canada and work for your family. I hope you find my resume/letter interesting and would love to interview me to be your childs caregiver. Also, do not hesitate to contact me or contact my previous and current host family if you have any questions about me or child care experience. Looking forward to hear from you soon, Tichaya (Katie) **Can start the new job in May 2019 or earlier but visa/work permit/LMIA sponsorship required - can start working on paperwork immediately.

To whom it may concern, November 2018 Tichaya Katie has been our familys au pair since April 2018. In her capacity as au pair she has taken care of our daughters ages 7, 3, and now our newborn son. She is our familys third au pair. Her responsibilities include full time child care as well preparing meals for the children, doing the childrens laundry, and tidying the childrens space. During her time with our family Katie has been an excellent, hardworking au pair. She doesnt miss a beat, even with three small children. We often get positive feedback from our friends and neighbors who have noted, without our asking, that she is attentive when caring for our children when we are not there. She is able to anticipate the childrens needs without reminding (snacks, warm clothes) and she is quite independent. Recently she ventured out to the science museum with all three children in tow for a school holiday adventure. She is flexible and responds well to last minute schedule changes. Evidence of her adaptability is also demonstrated by the fact that she shares our very small (1000 square foot) apartment with only 1 bathroom with grace and ease. This summer while I was on maternity leave, she also seamlessly transitioned from being an independent au pair to being a mothers helper and I was grateful for the extra set of hands as well as her ever pleasant company. She navigates our city with children on foot and public transportation quite faciley. She is responsible for getting our children to different activities within the city and has done so independently and proactively designing her best route (walking, bus, train) based on Google maps. Her English is excellent and her communication skills in general enable open and direct feedback that goes both ways. She is receptive to feedback and is also directive about her feedback on our childrens behavior which I appreciate. She quickly was able to understand our childrens personalities and is able to interpret and respond to challenging situations well. We came upon Katie through a reference from our prior au pair who knew her socially and her prior host family was glowing. We have been quite lucky to have Katie during this time as she combines a hardworking, professional and independent ethos with a friendly cando attitude that makes sharing a home and taking on significant childcare duties possible. My husband is a lawyer and I am a physician and our work schedules can be demanding, and I appreciate knowing I have someone I can trust at home caring for my children. I highly recommend Katie for the position of an au pair. Sincerely, Kara and Robert

November 1, 2018 Letter of Reference for Tichaya To Whom It May Concern, Tichaya was our au pair for one year, from May 2017 through April 2018 and in this role she cared for our three kids our 7 year old son, our 5 year old daughter, and 3 year old son. Katie is smart, kind, and caring. She has excellent judgment, strong organizational skills, and is trustworthy. She has a very positive outlook, and she works very hard. I have repeatedly gotten unsolicited feedback from friends and strangers sharing their observations of Katie when I was not present she engages them directly and is appropriately discipling them when necessary with a firm but gentle demeanor, that she is reading and singing songs with them all of the time, etc. Katie has done so much for our kids and our family including but not limited to: Preparing lunches and other snacks/meals for the kids Doing all of the kids laundry every week; and Engaging the kids in age-appropriate activities whether that be reading, singing, doing arts and crafts projects, going to nearby parks and playing outside or coming up with other creative ideas. I know I can trust Katie with any task big or small. She carries herself with confidence and is committed to doing a great job. She brings an optimistic attitude to work every day. Katie is truly a professional, our kids absolutely adore her, and we all missed her when she left. She is very excited about the possibility of working at Live-in Caregiver in Canada. I am confident she will bring a lot to the. Please do not hesitate to be in touch if you have any additional questions about Tichaya. Sincerely, Bernadine
