My name is Jamie and I am 25 years old, born and raised in Toronto, and a proud Filipina. I am outgoing and friendly and I feel that getting along with children comes naturally to me. I’m currently a full time Preschool Teacher at a childcare centre in Midtown and I’m looking for some extra work on the weekends and the occasional evening! I have experience with children aged 1year old-13 years old in different settings such as: summer camps (day/ overnight camps), babysitting, teaching English abroad, and childcare centres. My education background includes a degree in Early Childhood Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University). I’m currently a Registered Early Childhood Educator working as a preschool teacher in a childcare centre near the Yonge & Eglinton neighbourhood. I’ve worked with children of all ages (1year old—13 years old) in a variety of settings: summer camps, English teaching abroad, childcare centre field placements for school, and of course babysitting! I would say my experience working with children comes to about 9 years now.
