Hi my name is Jordana, I am 19 years old. I am originally from Vegreville, Alberta, I have moved to edmonton for school. I go to NorQuest College and I am enrolled in the Practical Nurse program. I love sports, I play on a women’s team in Edmonton on Sundays. I have been babysitting since I was 13. I took the babysitting course when I was 12 years old. I have babysat a wide range of children from ages 6 months - 10 years old. I worked in a daycare for a year and 8 months and learned many useful skills on how to talk and interact with children. The daycare taught me that every child is different and unique. As well I learned useful problem solving skills when dealing with upset children, that it is important to get on eye level with kids and listen and ask them to explain why they are upset, which makes it easier to find a solution to the problem. I can handle many children at a time as I the family I use to babysit before I moved had 4 children, all close in age (2, 4, 6, and 8 years old). I can cook and clean as I like to do the dishes and tidy the mess after the children go to bed. I see myself as a role model and someone children can look up to. I am responsible, mature, and have a friendly personality.

I have a lot of childcare experience. I have been babysitting since I was 13. I have worked in many different childcare settings such as babysitting for families. Working in a daycare and a Days off School program which was through the daycare I worked for but, for older children. The age range was 5 years old to 12 years old.
