Hello, My name is Janaine. I am a 36 year-old, Brazilian, and I currently live in Toronto but I am moving to Halifax, I finished my PhD and postdoctoral by the Bioscience program from Brazil. I graduated in biology. My first language is Portuguese. I am able to speak english. I do not smoke, I can take care of homework, cooking and babysitting, supervising swimming, caring for animals and I have a driver's license. I have worked as a children's teacher for 3 years in Brazil and here in Canada for 4 years. I have experience with activities that stimulate the development of children and I have knowledge of nutrition through my doctorate, so I am very careful about good nutrition for children. In my doctorate I learned about the importance of good stimulation for children, for a good neurological development. Now I am working with a family and they have 2 girls, my contract is ending soon and I am looking for a new family. The family sponsored me and I have a valid work permit but I need a family willing to apply for a new LMIA, so I can transfer my work permit to the new employee. In Brazil I worked as a biology teacher in primary school, with kids between 7 and 18 years old. I also worked as a nanny for improve my experience before come to Canada. Here in Canada I started to work with my first family in 2017 and I worked there for one year and a half. The family has two children, I watch and take care of both. Usually I dropped the oldest one off at the school and I picked her up as well and the youngest one was with me all day long. Currently I'm' working with a family for almost one year but they are moving to UK at the end of July, so I started to looking for a new family. They also have 2 kids, both are going to school, so I am working 7:00-9:30 to 2:30-6:00. I like to make crafts with the kids, games with cards or puzzle and/or we read a book, I like activities that stimulates the development. I like to go with the kids to a park or to the library to get some books or enjoy the story time. I try to always keep the house organizes as much as I can and I cook the healthiest meals for the children because during my PhD I studied the long-term dangers of poor diet and endocrinology. I like to involve the kids in cook activities creating funny and healthy snacks too.

I have a degree in Biology and PhD in Bioscience
