My name is Kate. I am 22 years old and go to Brock University, studying to become a teacher. Some of my interests include sports, time spent with my family and friends, and children. I am available to be a nanny from June 13 till the end of summer (Last week of August).

I am currently finishing up my 1st year of teacher’s college at Brock University. I have worked as a summer camp counsellor/supervisor for 3 years now. I would plan my own daily activities for the kids. The kids were between ages 5-12. Every summer, starting at about age 12, I would babysit my cousins every day while my aunts and uncles worked. I have a nephew who is 4 years old and I have babysat him alone a lot over the years. I have been in many school placements where I helped kids with their school work. This year, I had a placement where I actually taught about half the lessons that my associate teacher was teaching. These placement experiences have taught me how to constructively deal with children’s conflicts, how to beneficially assist children in their learning and other fun activities, and how to deal with specific needs of every individual child.

I attended and finished high school. I am currently in my fifth year of University at Brock University for Concurent child and youth studies (teachers college).
