I have worked with children and youth of all ages since I was old enough to obtain my babysitting certificate. I have a drivers license with a clean driving record, a vulnerable sector police clearance, have CPR/ First Aid/ AED training every year for the 5 years I was working in the daycare on York university’s campus. I have volunteered my time at the daycare at Pathstone mental health (Branscomb centre on Louth now.) I opened my own private home daycare a few years back and only had to close down due to a medical emergency. I have minimal hours looking after a set of twin each week for nearly 6 years. I have watched them grow and flourish since they were infants and they are 6 years old now. One of the twins has Down’s syndrome and I have a lot of experience with children with differing needs. I learned basic sign language for him, and his twin sister is beginning to speak French with me in recent months. I work very well with children and youth of all ages.
