I enjoy working with elderly and special needs as well as they always love to have playfulness around them. I am very active and have been a fitness instructor and acrobatic trainer for many years, traveling the world performing and sharing my love of circus with underprivileged children and thier families. I spent many years educating myself in physical fitness, nutrition, yoga, and therapeutic holistic healing. While I was raising my own children on a farm in Alberta Canada, I ran a daycare in which I homeschooled to grade 3-4. I have always been a nurturing person. I have spent years taking specialized courses covering such topics as child psychology, mental health, early social and emotional development, positive parenting and discipline techniques, conflict management and redirection techniques, growth mindset, attachment patterns, educational play techniques, natural flora and fauna, local wildlife conservation, home school education up to grade 3, gardening, cooking and nutrition, holistic health and fitness, and communication. All courses were self study online or workbook home study programs without credit as I cannot afford to take accreditation exams. but the course contents are available for free at many Universities and I have friends who are nurses etc whom shared thier course study text books with me and have helped me learn along with them. The mass of information I have studied throughout my life has been instrumental in developing my approach to education and interaction with children. I feel very blessed to have had such quality opportunities to really grow as a person and a parent and as a caregiver.
