I am a 34 years old female with a background in insurance and restaurant management. I grew up in Thornhill and attended college for business before I started my own leaving school shortly after. In the last year I have been transitioning to student life to prepare myself for a field in child education and mental health right here close to my home at Seneca college King campus. I have my certificate as a PSW and have had private clients working with the elderly. I have a natural ability in connecting with people, identifying their abilities and aiding to develop them. My business background has given me extensive communication and interpersonal experience along with negotiating skills. As a manager and sales person in my past work positions, I thrive on inspiring people and encouraging them to present their best. I enjoy fast paced work environment. As an individual who takes initiative in any work environment I learn quickly and adjust accordingly to people I work with. I act quickly in crisis and have great ability to keep calm in high stress situation focusing on the task at hand. I am a perpetual learner and like setting high expectation for myself and people I work with. As a result of working with people over the last decade learning how much I love giving, supporting and helping people grow, I would like to expand my experience in working with children. I am passionate about people, art, nature, knowledge, music specifically live and classical music, animals, healthy living and eating, yoga, meditation and time spent with good friends and family with a great cup of tea. I look forward to working with any family that will give me the opportunity to be a part of their's by helping in daily responsibilities whether it's taking care of their cleaning needs, children while they are at work or elderly.

I have my PSW certificate and have worked with elderly in the past. I have experience in looking after children with family and relatives as a teenager and have filled in for friends with children up to the age of 10. Picking them up from and to school, following their schedule directed by their parents whether its playtime, mealtime, naptime or homework. In High school my placement was working as the TA with special need children for the duration of grade 12 at bayview secondary high school I had several month experience as a private driver for a female student in grade 10 to and from her private school in downtown Toronto. She had a very strict schedule which I followed closely and accommodated with short notice changes. I would like to expand my work with children professionally beyond friends and family.
