Hi there. My name is Chelsea and I am 22 years old. I am currently attending VIU for my BA Honours of Psychology along with my Addictions Certificate. My goal in life is to either become a Clinical or a Child Psychologist. I am currently looking to find work starting May. When I am not in school or busy studying, I love to be active. This includes walks, hikes, hanging out at the beach. I have learned how to have immense patience with children over the years and am a very empathetic person. I genuinely enjoy spending time with the kids around me, whether that be reading books, watching movies, or doing some outdoor activity. I look forward to hearing from you.

I absolutely love working with children and have over 9 years of experience between the ages of 1 and 14. I used to be an assistant dance teacher for children between age 4 and 12, which I loved so much. I have 3 nephews who mean the absolute world to me, as well as I frequently look after a family of 4. I worked as a Behaviour Interventionist with Autistic children, however I currently am employed at starbucks. In the past I was a program coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and am currently volunteering as a Crisis Responder with the Kids Help Phone. I am in my 4th year of my Psychology Honours degree and it is my future goal to work with children. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the last 2 years as a coordinator for their Go Girls program and am a Crisis Responder with the Kids Help Phone.

I am in my 4th year of University at Vancouver Island University, in hopes of continuing on to get my Master’s degree in Psychology to work as an RCC with children. I have my CPR and First aid certificate as well.
