I am a mature individual and ready for my next adventure. I am married with two adult sons who I adore. I was raised in a two parent family with an older brother and younger sister and my grandmother lived with us as well. My parents came to Canada with nothing and worked hard to provide a good life for their family. Family values and a good work ethic was demonstrated. My interests include movies, travel, canoeing, swimming, alpine skiing, playing cards, reading, sewing, knitting, cooking, baking, creating gift baskets, decorating, being with family and enjoying the family cottage. I value family and nurture relationships. I am thoughtful, patient, trustworthy, down to earth, demonstrative, and react well in a crisis. I’m an active listener, excellent communicator, approachable, kind, open minded, easy going, flexible, and I have a great sense of humour.

I have been working in a professional capacity with families and children for 40 years. My expertise is the area of assessmentsbonding and attachment, parenting, child development, understanding child behavior, helping families adjust to having a new child and normalizing behaviors and feelings. I have worked with all age groups in a professional capacity not in a child care capacity. I’m ready to get on the ground running. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: My interest is to provide optimal care to a child under 2 years of age and to be of help to a family. The first 2 years of a child’s life is paramount for their development. I embrace the innocence of a child.

I have a BA in psychology and an Honours BSW (Bachelor in Social Work).
