I am a 19 year old student who is currently studying theatre at the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto. I will be returning to my home in Victoria on May 1st, 2019 and would love nothing more than to spend my summer looking after children. From a very young age, I have always found children to be fascinating. I have been told that I have a quality that draws children to me since I am quick to make connections with them. As soon as I was old enough to take the babysitting training course at age 13, I jumped on the babysitting train and have been child-minding in my free time ever since. I have had a lot of experience looking after children ages 11 months - 12 years old. I am responsible, punctual, flexible, enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and ready to give my full attention to whatever is required of me. I have worked with the parents to make sure that the needs of the children are being met in a way that makes everyone feel connected. I make it my goal first and foremost to create a bond with the children and, before anything else, I strive to create an environment where the children feel safe and free to be who they want to be. Some of my hobbies include theatre, dance, singing, baking, hiking, swimming, photography, nature/the outdoors, board and card games, exploring and enjoying crafts.

I have been working with children since I was 13 at which time I completed the babysitting training program at Panorama Recreation Center. The children I have worked with range in age from 11 months to 12 years. I love spending time with children: getting to know through interactive games and activities. I enjoy their creativity, imagination and ever-growing curiosity of life. It brings me great joy to see the world through their eyes. I organize arts and crafts, fun excursions, imaginative make-believe games and other activities that keep children engaged.
