CHRISTCHURCH ROAD WINCHESTER SO23 9SR 15 May 2019 To whom it may concern Re: Sally Gibbs Sally Gibbs was employed by me as housekeeper on two occasions: (1) from 22 July 2013 to 15 January 2014 (6 months) after which she emigrated to Hong Kong with her husband who had been offered employment there. (2) On her return from Hong Kong from 24 April 2017 until 3 May 2019 (2 years) after which she emigrated to Canada with her husband who had been offered employment there. It has been an enormous privilege and pleasure having Sally as our housekeeper on both of these occasions. She has been, quite simply, a brilliant housekeeper. She is a lovely person to have around and has a universally positive attitude to every task that she tackles. Sally has done all of the tasks usually expected of a housekeeper from cooking, cleaning, maintaining the house and laundry and has turned her hand to many other tasks too, including looking after our children and our dog. Over the course of Sallys employment, I carried out a wholesale renovation of my house from top to bottom which created endless challenges and problems. Sally was my right hand in keeping the household and family running in that period. She dealt with large numbers of workmen and the chaos that often ensued from the project. She was always upbeat, even during the darkest moments of the project, and was extremely popular with all of the tradespeople who came through the door. I cannot see how we would have got through the project without Sally. Sally is practical, very hard working and has real initiative. She has a great ability for spotting and solving issues before they turn into problems. There have been countless occasions when Sally has spotted something that needed doing and has done it and thereby averted a larger problem. Sally has taken an enormous burden off my shoulders through her work for us; in particular on the regular occasions when I have been overseas on business when she has worked extra hours or stepped in, even at the weekend, to keep everything running smoothly. In addition to all of these things, Sally has fitted into our family extremely well and has played a big role in the development of my two boys (who were aged 3 and 1 when Sally first started working for us and are now 9 and 7). They love playing with her, reading with her, playing football with her in the garden and even doing homework with her. They rightly regard her as part of the family. Sally is an immensely capable and wonderful person. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for employment and I would re-employ her without hesitation if she ever returns to the UK. Yours faithfully Sharif Shivji
